What It Was
Steplify was an AI-powered platform I founded to simplify complex workflows. I cared deeply about the problem — people were wasting hours on repetitive, multi-step processes that AI could handle. I believed technology should remove friction, not add it.
What Happened
The product worked technically, but the market wasn't ready. Timing was off, resources were limited, and the go-to-market strategy needed more iteration than I had runway for. A hundred small things compounded into one big lesson: building a product and building a business are two different skills.
Why It Still Matters
Steplify confirmed that building is my path. It shaped how I think about products — about timing, about users, about the difference between what's technically possible and what's actually needed. The failure wasn't the end. It was the beginning of building with more clarity.
Became a Skill
The codebase has been distilled into a skill. If any part of it helps someone else build something better, it was worth it.
