Anthropic's valuation
You can debate the finer points of ARR revenue recognition, but it's hard to dismiss the very real reports from the secondary market and traditional media: after a "miracle Q1" of roughly 80x annualized growth and a one-month jump of $15B in ARR, Anthropic is now reportedly being valued in the $1–1.2T range — which would put it officially ahead of OpenAI as the 11th–15th most valuable company in the world.
Two things stand out. First, the gap between how ARR is recognized and how the number is talked about — when growth is this fast, the headline figure and the underlying revenue mechanics can diverge a lot. Second, the fact that the secondary market and mainstream reporting independently converge on a similar valuation makes it harder to wave away as hype alone.
Figure Robotics
A short note to track Figure's latest update from Brett Adcock. The humanoid robotics race keeps producing demos worth watching — the recurring theme across these is less about peak capability and more about continuous, reliable operation. (Tracked here to follow up on later.)
